While still widely used by various indigenous people the use of essential oils in western societies is becoming very popular as a Complementary Therapy working along since western medicine.
Each essential oils has a unique fragrance and therapeutic property which can provide valuable psychological and physical therapeutic benefits.
An essential oil when inhaled can be detected within 60 seconds in the blood stream. This causes a chemical reaction which works on the nervous and endocrine (hormonal) systems causing a sedative or stimulating effect.

There are several ways of applying essential oils by vapourising, reflexology, inhaling adding the oils to your bath and through different types of massage. An essential oils is seldom used on its own but is mixed into a blend with a number of other essential oils

After completing the consultation for a Reiki treatment, a bespoke blend of essential oils is made up depending on your specific needs as discussed during the consultation.
A normal Reiki treatment takes place with the addition of the blend been placed on the your chest so the fragrance is inhaled throughout the treatment.
You will be given this blend in a small aroma-stick (looks like Vick's inhaler stick)to take home and use after the treatment to continue the work started during the Reiki treatment.
A blend of essential oils is made up specifically for you depending on the reasons/conditions you have come for your Reflexology treatment.
This blend is massaged into the feet during a normal Reflexology treatment and the remainder of the blend is taken home to be used by you in the days following your Reflexology
